Coastal Discovery Museum Starts
Docent College in January
If you have any interest in leading nature programs, helping with school groups, or recreating the scenes of the Civil War through a history tour, or helping guests in the museum gift shop, then we need you.
The Coastal Discovery Museum will be offering training for new volunteers beginning January 25th. The Docent College will continue every Wednesday until March 1st. The programs are held at the Coastal Discovery Museum from 2:00 – 3:30pm each week.

Hatching The Chickens
On Friday, January 6th, Low Country artist James E.St.Clair (aka The Artist Saint) will unvail his newest series of paintings. The exhibit is entitled “Hatching The Chickens” and will feature the further misadventures of his popular chicken characters which have been evolving over the past few years. The exhibit will be held at the new Art Asylum Gallery in Bluffton, SC. A meet the artist reception will be held that evening from 6-8 pm. Refreshments will be served and the public is invited. The Society of Bluffton Artists (SoBA) announces the opening of their featured artist Bette Caffrey’s show on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006. The show, at SoBA’s Gallery at 48 Boundary Street, Old Town Bluffton, will begin at 3 P.M. with refreshments and a chance to meet the artist. The public is welcome.
